Gearbox Course Project Wizard: Drive and Gear Design Step by Step

Go through the project step by step: task → motor → gears → report. Each step feeds the next, and at the end you get a report with a title page, formulas with numbers and tables to print or save as PDF. Data stays in your browser.

Task

The “gearbox drive” course project

A typical task is to design a conveyor drive: motor, open drive (V-belt or chain), gearbox and coupling. The report covers the task and layout, motor selection and kinematics, gear design, open drive, shafts, bearings, keys, coupling, lubrication and references. The wizard covers sections 1–3 now; the rest will follow.

Use it as help and a cross-check: compare coefficients with your department’s guidelines — every formula is shown with numbers.

FAQ

Can I do a machine design course project online?
The wizard does the main calculations — kinematics and gearbox gears — and assembles the report. Drawings remain your job.
How do I save the report as PDF?
On the last step click “Print / PDF” and choose “Save as PDF”.
Is my data saved?
Yes, in your browser on this device; copy the link below the wizard to open it elsewhere.
Which gearboxes are supported?
Kinematics for all types; gear design for single- and two-stage spur/helical gearboxes.
Which method is used?
Sheinblit’s course design textbook (based on GOST 21354-87).
